Terms of service

These terms are an agreement between you, the business that installs Duly, and Tejveer Singh, trading as Duly (“we”). Installing or using Duly means you accept them.

1. What Duly does, and doesn't do

Duly checks your Shopify listings against the information the EU General Product Safety Regulation asks product pages to show. It drafts safety text from templates and the details you give it, publishes what you approve to your store, and stores your proof documents.

Duly is a tool, not legal advice. Templates and translations are a starting point. You decide what to publish, and you remain responsible for your products' safety, for the accuracy of your listings and for meeting the laws that apply to you. Review everything before you approve it. Toys, cosmetics, baby products and electricals are held for a specialist check because they have extra rules.

2. Your account

You use Duly through your Shopify store and must follow Shopify's terms. You're responsible for who in your business can use the app, and for the details you enter, including manufacturer and EU responsible person information.

3. Plans and billing

4. Your data

Your products, settings and proof files stay yours. You give us permission to process them only to provide Duly to you. Our Privacy policy explains what we collect.

Data processing terms

Where we process personal data for you (product data, settings, proof files and supplier contacts), we will:

5. Supplier requests

When you use “Ask your supplier”, we email the address you enter on your behalf. You confirm that you have a business relationship with that supplier and a lawful reason to contact them.

6. Fair use

Don't use Duly to break the law, to upload content you have no right to, to send unsolicited email, or to try to access other shops' data or disrupt the service. We may suspend access if you do.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep Duly available and accurate, but we don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may improve or change features. If we ever stop offering Duly, we'll give at least 60 days' notice so you can export your proof.

8. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or fines and penalties imposed on you. Our total liability under these terms is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited, such as for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

9. Ending the agreement

You can stop at any time by uninstalling Duly. We may end these terms if you seriously break them, or with 60 days' notice. Sections 4, 8 and 10 continue after the agreement ends.

10. Law and changes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction. If we change these terms, we'll update the date above and tell installed shops about important changes at least 30 days before they apply.
